Northern Rockies Complex Incident Management Team

The Northern Rockies Complex Incident Management Team (IMT) is an interagency team that manages complex, high-profile incidents—primarily wildfires—in the Northern Rockies region and, when requested, in other areas of the country. These teams are comprised of experienced federal, state, and local professionals who provide on-scene command and coordination for incidents exceeding the capacity of local agencies. The group is broken down into several smaller, specialized teams, such as Team 1 and Team 6, each with its own incident commanders and staff.
